The last of my summer plants and blooming flowers are getting swept away right before my eyes. Since the beginning of spring I have spent many hours working on my front and back yard landscape. I have to admit the design I put together was quite attractive and pleasing to the viewer. For me it was my escape from reality and the knowledge of the beauty of what life has to offer.
For hours at a time I seem to be lost, just pacing around my house going from room to room. Then it came to me. Why not bring a bit of nature inside. Just thinking about it made me feel like my old self. Instead of wandering around my house, I carefully planned out where and what was needed to add some spice to my surroundings and my mind and spirit.
Searching around my home, I noticed there was not a lot of floor space, but I did not let that get the best of me. I had a great idea. There was an entire empty wall in my kitchen and another wall in my dinning area that looked like it needed another accent to make it complete. My goal was to give these two rooms a soft, appealing fresh new look. This is Going to Relax You and Amaze Your Friends
With my trusty computer by my side, I found a numerous amount of wall planters and wall trellises for indoor use. From formal to informal displays and from traditional to modern styles were all at my fingertips. There were so many different shapes, sizes, and materials to fit everyone’s decor and design themes. They all seemed to portray a uniqueness and versatility that would add texture and depth to my walls.
Continuing my quest, I learned they were easy to mount, served the space efficiently and was a perfect way to show off my prized plants. There were some that provided self watering with built in reservoirs and other planters were available with artificial plants and silk flowers. Kits are also available as a planting grid where you can actually grow succulents, ferns and flowers right on the wall. Each kit comes with a planting grid, top and bottom trays, a cedar frame, mounting hardware and complete instructions. The manufactures make it so easy you do not have to have a green thumb for this display. What a Great Idea You Had! Trellises are no longer exclusively for the garden. There are many styles now available for indoor use. They add a patterned motif and three dimensional aspect to your walls. I purchased this for my dinning area wall. I installed a decorative architectural molding to hold the trellis securely to the wall. It has become the focal point of the room and a conversation starter for all our guests and family members. wall planters
If you are like me and enjoy getting your hands dirty or just enjoy a garden motif, this wall accessory could be your key for added beauty and hours of viewing pleasure. My suggestion is start looking where you would like to soften a corner, or accent an art object or just relax an eye.
