Vintage Improves with Age wall mounted wine rack
Over the years I have invited many friends and family members to my humble abode for dinner parties. The first question I always get asked is what can I bring? My wife has the menu from soup to nuts always planned before we invite, so my answer is usually nothing just yourself. Thinking back I can’t remember one person that arrived without a gift in hand. Most of the time that gift has been a bottle of wine. Without revealing my exact age I can tell you that I have collected more bottles of wine then I can count with all my fingers and toes.

We did drink a few bottles of wine at some of the parties but somehow I have stashed away a great collection of some fantastic vintage. You see my better half had this great idea that we should get the house in order prior to the holidays. That is when I came across my liquor cabinet that could barely close. There must have been hundreds of bottles that held aged wine and were contained in elegant beautifully displayed glass bottles. I started pacing around the room. Then it hit me what I needed was something to store this treasure and at the same time show off my collection. wall mounted wine racks
I immediately went on line and started browsing through the options that were available. I came across unlimited varieties of wine racks. There were so many selections of different styles, sizes, materials and designs. It is never wise to make an impulse purchase without doing your homework. Here are a few things I found out.
• The temperature of the room where you store your wine is most important. This can either keep your wine fresh or it may spoil.
• What kind of light, humidity and noise surrounds the room. These features can also cause an effect to your vino.
• How your wine rack lets you display the bottles either on its side or the cork place downwards. This is not only for aesthetics, but for preserving the wine.
I did my homework and suggest you do the same. There are many resources that hold information that you can find on line or at the library.
I am now the proud owner of a few unique wall mounted wine racks. Depending on the quality, they were all at different price levels. I can tell you that each of them was easy to mount and all came with simple directions.
What an Unusual and Beautiful Display
Now at the end of the day I can sit back and relax. As I gaze at my stylish and easy to access wine collection, I am able to enjoy my surroundings more now. This gives me the pleasure of viewing and sharing my passion for fine wine and perhaps sharing a glass or two with occasional visiting guests.
