The Feeling You Get is Like Buckingham

Every year my family has made the Taste of Chicago our tradition that we never pass up. It must have hundreds of booths from local restaurants with a taste of their cuisine. This event brings many bands, some famous others local, that are on many stages entwined throughout the grounds. This event is held in the summer time and the temperature is usually quite hot. This venue is held in Grant Park and in the middle of the park is a land mark known as Buckingham Fountain.

What we have traditionally done over the years is grab some desert such as ice cream or piece of ice cold watermelon and take it over by the fountain. You get a cool breeze and it’s a great place for people watching.

We were all starting to feel a little crabby from the heat and the crowds. As we were standing by the fountain I couldn’t help but notice that the mood of my family and others around me had changed and I mean for the better. With the pleasing sound of the splashing water around us I could actually feel my body relax.

My mind started going a hundred miles a minute. I thought to myself how could I bring this feeling and aura back with me. It came to me within seconds.
