Let’s all just face the facts… We live in stressed hectic times. We can’t or don’t allow ourselves to take one moment in time just to day dream. With our cell phones and I pods always handy we never just stop for a moment and think. Then by the time we get home after working eight or more hours we are frazzled. Our nerves are tightly wound up through our entire bodies.

What I am gong to discuss today will give you this wonderful mood enhancer just by looking at your walls. You can create unlimited atmospheres with wallpaper murals, giving you your own sanctuary, so you can unwind and be care free.

A wallpaper mural gives your room that special atmosphere and feeling of expanded space. It can alter your perception of time and space. The energy that exhumes will dramatically transform you towards the topic of your mural. Unlike any other wall covering, a mural can add a thrill and a feeling of freedom that is truly astounding. It will instantly turn those plain drab walls into a warm and inviting space that reflects your personality and lifestyle.

What is a wallpaper mural? The dictionary describes it as something applied to or made integral to a wall or ceiling fixture. It is chic, trendy and a vibrant addition to any home. It is usually made of non-woven breathable materials. As a result the backing is permeable and air and moisture can move easily through the material.

Specialty paint and wallpaper stores offer a large selection to choose from. There are also hundreds of on line stores available for your needs. Many companies let you submit an image or painting for a unique customized design. Photographic quality and realism make them especially appealing. They can range from classic design to abstract.

You can locate these in any shape, size, color and style. You can select a certain texture such as drywall, grass cloth, straw, fiber and raised texture. Where you plan on hanging your mural influences the theme, scale, color and design.

There are themes for every room of your home. Some of the themes available on wallpaper murals are those of animals, tropical, children, and nursery, teen, country, and religion, sports, contemporary and nautical.

This is a quick, maintainable, affordable and easy to install solution for your decorating needs. It can be applied over paint or other wallpaper. It comes in two ways either pre-pasted or un-pasted. If un-pasted first apply the paste to the wall so the mural does not become damp from the adhesive. Excess past can be removed with a sponge. A brush is used to smooth out the mural. Trimming is done after the mural is fully dried.

The standard pre-pasted wallpaper mural comes in an eight panel format. They are arranged in four panels above and four panels below. You can also choose to get them in vertical strips instead of panels. Another option at your finger tips are accent murals. These are a smaller version for decorating purposes.

So stretch out on your couch and day dream. Take a look around you and imagine what kind of scene would put you in a happy place. There is no limit to what you can create. A tropical paradise or an elegant café awaits your arrival. Remember the results will be dramatic and take you to glory!
