About Me

Hi, my name is Joe Tobiasz and welcome to my "About Me" page.

I'm just an ordinary guy with ordinary interests. I enjoy my dog, music, movies, sports, good food, travel, cars, good friends and having fun with decorating walls (Except for my dog, not necessarily in that order).

I was born in Chicago a long, long time ago. When it comes to how long ago, well, we won't get into that.

We were lucky. My sister and I were raised by both my parents. We were a typical middle class family living in a wood framed bungalow on the northwest side of  Chicago.

We never had a lot of money, but somehow we got by and I never felt like I needed any more than I had. If there was an abundance of one thing in my life as I was growing up, it was the love we shared in my family.

My mother had a special talent. She could sew. (She was an excellent cook too, but that's another story)  I can remember back when I was in grammar school, instead of buying clothes, my mother would buy dress patterns and fabric. As she was cutting out the cloth and pinning the dress together and using her ancient sewing machine to make the final product, she would teach my sister how to sew at the same time. Needless to say, my sister became quite the seamstress herself.

My father, on the other hand, had a fascination on how things were made. Although he held a low paying office job all his life, he was the epitome of the world's most well rounded handy man. He could work on cars. He could repair almost everything. He was a carpenter, electrician, plumber, furniture maker, concrete mason, drywall installer, floor installer, wall tile guy, picture frame maker, painter and the list could go on forever.

Being his only son, I was the world's greatest handyman's apprentice. I learned so much from my father in my early years of life and I carry that knowledge with me today and use that knowledge all the time.

I guess what I'm trying to say here is, creativity was part of my growing up. Without the knowledge to create works of art in everything around you, you are just left with emptiness.

My web site, Wall-Decor-Concepts.com, was put together in order to show you the tools available to you to make your home unique to you. You are the decorator. I will provide you with wall decorating information and tools. You take this information and these tool and become creative.

A wall is just a wall. With the wall decorating information I provide to you, and your imagination, there is no limit to the artist in you creating a masterpiece for everyone to enjoy.

Hoping your home is filled with creativity.

With warm regards,
Joe Tobiasz
